Economic Outlook for 2013: New Normal?

January 13, 2016 11:30 AM

The past few years have been difficult for the U.S. ECONOMY. As 2012 comes to a close, the economy is turning a page. What’s next? New normal? Near normal? How will the economic planets be aligned?

Is the fiscal cliff the only wild card? Experts have said if there’s no deal to avoid the cliff, the U.S. will fall into a recession in 2013. What else could push us in the wrong direction? How will the stock market be impacted and which sectors will be most affected? Will the housing market turnaround? Was the drop below 8% unemployment a signal that real improvement? Are there prospects for growth that will bring down the unemployment rate and help the economy make up the ground lost in the recession?

What role will global economics play in 2013?

Join us for a lively discussion of the forces that will shape the economy in 2013 with Craig Johnson, Senior Technical Strategist, Piper Jaffray, who will be reading the tea leaves!
